Tarleton State University Legends Hall

Stephenville, Texas

Following the completion of the first phase of student housing, also designed by BOKA Powell, this new three story building was completed on a fast-track schedule to accommodate an urgent need for student occupancy space. The facility includes 150 two-bed units, a director’s unit, administration office space, classroom, lounges and laundry rooms on each floor. Vertical circulation is via a hydraulic elevator and four staircases. A typical unit has two beds, two closets, and a shared bathroom and vanity. The aggressive delivery schedule required phases design packages for site and utilities, foundation and structure, and shell building and interiors, respectively. This approach allowed construction to begin while aspects of the design were being completed.
